Charade daihatsu
Daihatsu is a leading Japanese car manufacturer and an integral part of the Toyota Group. The aim of Daihatsu is to become the world's leading compact carmaker with cars friendly to both people and the environment. The research team of the company is developing hybrid vehicles and diesel engine technology.
The Daihatsu car range includes a small city car, a supermini car, an all-terrain four wheel drive vehicle and a two seater-sports car. The Daihatsu Sirion was recommended as the Magazine Car of the Year awards in 2006.
The Charade DeTemaso: The Charade DeTomaso is an Italian prototype of the Daihatsu Charade car. The famous designer DeTomaso based in Modena, Italy designed the car.
The DeTemaso has SOHC, 16-valve 1.6-liter engine that permits the car to be driven at higher gears, utilizing its torque and reduces the need for gear changes on city roads.
The DeTemaso had standard 14-inch alloy wheels, made in Australia for the DeTomaso. The tires are colored medium gray with the famous DeTomaso name and symbol. The car has front bars with an increase in diameter and the rear sway bars are coupled with stiffer shocks and springs. This adjustment provides the driver of the DeTemaso a much more freeway drive.
The DeTomaso understeers more often than other cars, but a shift in of throttle drifts the car into the oversteer. The continuous shift of throttle would cause the car to return to a controlled neutral understeer situation. The passive rear-wheel steering built into the rear suspension geometry is often overlooked on all G100 and G200 Charades. During cornering when the car is put on the load, the rear outer wheel toes in to reduce sideslip and adds to the Charade's turn in capabilities. The new fuel injection system added to a new inlet manifold yields a 1.6-liter engine which has more response an torque. The improved inlet and fuel injection tuning is offered with an excellent performance exhaust. Here the DeTemaso has a perfectly tuned-length 4-into-1 extractor system. An ultimate combination of power and light weight, it easily accelerates from 0-100 kph in under 9.5 seconds. The all alloy engine is rev limited to 6500 rpm - power is a healthy 92 kW at 6000 with torque of 144 Nm at 4000 rpm.

The Daihatsu is extremely fuel-efficient. It has an excellent fuel economy, which is provided by a 1000cc 3-cylinder 12-valve DOHC engine. It avoids gas emissions particularly when warming up from a cold start.
The car safety system has a new platform with reinforced straight side members, impact-dispersion body structure, and use of high-strength steel plates. During accidents, the system automatically unlocks the doors and turns on the interior lamps. The system also has a hazard flasher.
