Maltese Poodle mix: Maltipoo or Maltepoos is a small, mixed breed dog. Usually, the breed is easily identified at dedicated kennels, from where breeders eagerly promote the playful canines. The breed is very loyal, loving and devoted. They are very intelligent and pick up tough tasks with ease. This makes them ideal as pets.

Commonly known as malti-doodle, moodle or maltipoo, the breed is a mix, bred from Maltese and Poodle parents. The maltipoo is one of the many common poodle hybrids. This is the result of the sudden market-based interest in so-called designer dogs. These dogs tend to sport a variation in color and size. Maltepoos naturally exhibit characteristics from each of the parents. A distinctive advantage that maltepoos enjoy is that of limited shedding.

The breed is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club as the ‘Malt-A-Poo’. The parents could be purebred or crossbred between maltipoos.

The dogs like being with people and get along well with children. They enjoy long walks and simply love to be pampered for hours at a stretch. It is easy to spot one curled up on a couch. Unlike other dogs, these animals crave for company. They do not like to be left alone.

Maltipoos make apt pets for retired couples and do well with RV travel or road trips. Maltipoos are mostly available with dedicated breeders but, they can be bought from animal shelters as well. You can indicate your requirement to the local veterinarian or shelter, so that whenever a new pup or dog comes in they can notify you. These dogs are priced between 0 and 00.

Maltese poodle dog: Being a mix of the Maltese and Poodle, this dog has a non-shedding coat. Its silky fur feels similar to human air. The fur could be curly or straight and could have an extended growth cycle. If a female maltipoo is not spayed, she could have a cyclic shedding. Due to this low shedding, very few health or allergy problems are observed in maltipoos.

These dogs are usually light in color, easily available in white or blonde. They are very energetic and inquisitive. You would have to care for the animal, like it were a child. This includes a baby-proof house and ensuring that pointed and easily reachable objects or piece of furniture are kept away.
